**Job title**
Senior AI/ML Engineer – Generative & Retrieval‑Augmented Solutions
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, development, and productionization of advanced generative AI, large language model (LLM), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and agentic systems for enterprise healthcare applications. Ensure end‑to‑end pipelines meet performance, reliability, safety, and governance standards while collaborating closely with product, platform, and data science teams.
**Expectations**
- Deliver production‑grade ML pipelines in cloud‑native environments.
- Apply responsible AI practices: hallucination detection, bias monitoring, policy enforcement, and safety guardrails.
- Optimize LLM latency, cost, and performance for commercial and open‑source models.
- Work with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and deploy transformer‑based NLP solutions for search, summarization, extraction, conversational AI, and decision support.
- Build and fine‑tune LLM applications using OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, Gemini, LLaMA, Mistral, etc.
- Architect and implement RAG pipelines: document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and vector database integration.
- Develop single‑ and multi‑agent workflows for tool use, reasoning, planning, and autonomous task execution.
- Create evaluation and monitoring frameworks, including human‑in‑the‑loop reviews.
- Implement safety and governance controls: prompt hardening, policy enforcement, and responsible AI guardrails.
- Productionize AI/ML pipelines with CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and observability best practices.
- Collaborate with product and data science teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years in AI/ML engineering or applied data science, building production ML systems.
- 5+ years building Python‑based ML solutions with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
- 3+ years developing generative AI or LLM applications, including prompt engineering and model fine‑tuning.
- 2+ years designing RAG systems and vector search pipelines.
- 1+ year building agentic AI systems, tool‑calling, and multi‑agent workflows.
- Proficiency in AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, Cursor).
- Familiarity with LLM orchestration (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel) is a plus.
- Cloud‑native experience (CI/CD, observability).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- No specific certifications required.
