Job title: Critical Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary: Maintain and optimise the technical installations of a data‑center network, ensuring continuous reliability, safety, and energy efficiency across multiple sites. Lead improvement projects, balance preventive and reactive maintenance, and support upgrade initiatives while upholding quality, security, and environmental standards.
Expectations: Deliver 24/7 operational excellence, manage projects from conception to completion, participate in a rotating on‑call schedule (≈1 week per 10 weeks), and collaborate closely with operations and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, HVAC, and associated infrastructure systems.
* Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules and rapid reactive interventions.
* Lead improvement projects, coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets.
* Support infrastructure upgrades and expansions, interfacing with project leads.
* Ensure compliance with safety, security, quality, and environmental regulations.
* Communicate status, risks, and solutions to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and documentation.
Required Skills:
* Solid knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC technologies.
* Experience in critical environments (data centers, hospitals, nuclear sites, airports).
* Project management ability, including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination.
* Analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and organized execution.
* Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design tools.
* Proactive, initiative‑driven mindset with strong interpersonal communication.
* Bilingual in Dutch and English; French proficiency is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electromechanics, or related field. (Additional safety, project management, or infrastructure certifications are advantageous.)
