**Job Title**
UFS IP Validation Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead the validation of UFS storage devices and bus interconnects according to industry UFS specifications. Manage end‑to‑end testing and debugging from pre‑silicon through post‑silicon stages, collaborating cross‑functionally with design, software, and firmware teams. Drive technical presentations, mentorship, and continuous improvement of validation processes and tooling.
**Expectations**
- 3–6 years pre/post‑silicon validation experience, 4–8 years semiconductor exposure, or equivalent.
- Proven leadership in technical projects and mentorship.
- Rapid acquisition of new technical concepts.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving mindset.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and execute system‑level validation strategies for UFS and related peripherals.
- Lead pre‑silicon bring‑up, debug, and post‑silicon validation of southbridge and peripheral components.
- Collaborate with Design, Software, Diagnostics, and Project Leadership to define test plans, risks, and resolutions.
- Present technical findings and propose improvements to architecture and testing methodologies.
- Mentor and lead the operational team, promoting knowledge sharing and quality.
- Identify root causes of defects, coordinate cross‑functional resolution, and drive corrective actions.
- Innovate validation capabilities through tool/script development and methodology enhancement.
- Publish test plan requirements, deliverables, and dependencies; ensure alignment across teams.
**Required Skills**
- In‑depth knowledge of UFS standard, architecture, and encryption (preferred).
- SOC architecture, southbridge technology, and peripheral bus knowledge (PCIe, NVMe, USB, I2C, SATA, SPI, UART).
- FPGA and hardware emulation debugging.
- BIOS, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and driver‑level interactions.
- Lab equipment proficiency: UFS analyzers/exercisers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
- Strong programming/scripting (Python, C/C++, Ruby).
- HDL experience (Verilog/VHDL) and knowledge of system design.
- Analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and documentation skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- No specific certifications required; industry knowledge and experience are essential.
