Job Description
**Job Title** Cybersecurity Technician/Engineer Internship (Gender Neutral) **Role Summary** Six‑month internship in IT security, supporting the protection of a Microsoft‑centric infrastructure (Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365). The intern will work under the Information Security Officer and collaborate with the Systems & Networks team on patch management, vulnerability monitoring, incident response, and help‑desk support. **Expectations** - Complete the internship with a focus on practical security operations. - Produce timely, accurate security updates and reports. - Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement of security processes. **Key Responsibilities** - Plan, deploy, and monitor patch management across servers, workstations, network devices, and applications. - Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze CVE data, and prioritize remediation actions. - Support the Security Operations Center (SOC) by investigating alerts, reviewing logs, and recommending containment measures. - Assist system and network administrators with security best practices and tool deployments (antivirus, EDR, etc.). - Prepare and deliver security indicators and metrics for the Information Security Officer and IT leadership. - Maintain documentation of security processes and incident investigations. **Required Skills** - Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10/11, and Microsoft 365. - Experience with patch‑management tools (WSUS, Microsoft Intune). - Familiarity with vulnerability‑assessment tools (Microsoft Defender, Qualys, Nessus). - Essential: PowerShell scripting; additional: Python for tool automation. - Understanding of SOC concepts, SIEM, log‑analysis, and EDR technologies. - Ability to analyze, prioritize, and communicate security threats. - Written and verbal communication skills in English. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor‑level education (Bac‑2 to Bac‑5) in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, or equivalent) are a plus but not mandatory.
