Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Electrical Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the electrical discipline on a major offshore oil & gas engineering project. Oversee all electrical deliverables, supervise junior engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and serve as the primary client interface for electrical matters, ensuring compliance with international codes and high-quality technical output throughout the project lifecycle. **Expectations:** - Deliver complex electrical designs and documentation that meet IEC, ATEX, IECEx, and industry regulations. - Manage and mentor a team of junior engineers, ensuring timely, accurate, and standards‑compliant results. - Act as the authoritative point of contact for electrical issues with the client and internal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the electrical discipline scope and ownership of all electrical design work. - Prepare, review, and approve key deliverables: design basis, philosophies, specifications, datasheets, requisitions, and calculation notes. - Develop and monitor the electrical discipline project plan, ensuring milestones are met. - Supervise and coordinate junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and feedback. - Conduct electrical system studies in ETAP (load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, etc.). - Perform equipment sizing, power balance calculations, and related analyses. - Organize and actively participate in client and internal meetings; capture and follow up on action items. - Verify full compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations throughout the project. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 10 years of senior/lead electrical engineering experience on oil & gas projects, preferably offshore. - In‑depth knowledge of IEC standards, ATEX & IECEx requirements, and industry regulations. - Proficiency in ETAP Power System Analysis software. - Strong leadership and team‑management abilities. - Excellent communication skills in both English and French. - Ability to manage complex projects, deliver technical solutions, and coordinate cross‑disciplinary work. **Required Education & Certifications:** - MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. - Relevant certifications in IECEx, ATEX, or equivalent are desirable but not mandatory.
