**Job Title:** IT Support Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Technically skilled IT Support Engineer responsible for overseeing third‑party IT service providers and coordinating with global IT teams to maintain secure, stable, and efficient IT infrastructure for semiconductor manufacturing operations across North and South America. Provides on‑site troubleshooting, system administration, and ensures compliance with cybersecurity and factory safety standards.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver 24/7 on‑site IT support for factory users.
- Manage third‑party vendors to meet service level agreements and safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with global IT groups and stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation, asset inventory, and audit readiness.
- Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues while adhering to security best practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise on‑site third‑party IT personnel and ensure policy compliance.
- Act as primary contact for factory IT users; coordinate with remote network, compute, storage, and application teams.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, servers, client systems, and production tools.
- Perform user provisioning, hardware/software deployment, patch management, and incident resolution.
- Support Windows and Linux/Unix servers, including hardening, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing) and escalate as needed.
- Participate in cybersecurity initiatives: vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, and security monitoring.
- Maintain IT asset records, documentation, and assist with audit preparation.
- Utilize ITSM/ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and remote support tools.
**Required Skills:**
- 3–5 years IT support or system administration experience, preferably in manufacturing or high‑tech environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
- Proficient in Windows and Linux/Unix system administration; scripting and performance tuning.
- Experience with endpoint security tools, patch management, and hardening practices.
- Ability to manage/oversee third‑party service providers.
- Excellent problem‑solving, verbal and written communication in English; Spanish a plus.
- Independent, service‑oriented mindset; ability to work in fast‑paced, production‑sensitive settings.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and documentation standards.
- Knowledge of factory systems (MES, ERP) advantageous.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field **or** equivalent hands‑on experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Linux Professional Institute) are desirable but not mandatory.
