**Job Title:** Mechanical Design Engineer (M/F)
**Role Summary:**
Act as a core member of the mechanical design team, focused on developing products and systems for digital infrastructure with an emphasis on optical fiber technology. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions that meet technical specifications, industry standards, and corporate development roadmaps.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver fully designed and documented mechanical architectures and components.
- Translate product specifications into detailed CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Provide technical support across the product lifecycle, including trials, qualifications, and project meetings.
- Manage technical coordination with group units, external partners, and subcontractors.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Study, design, and coordinate mechanical architectures and components, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and development processes.
- Conduct upstream activities: competitor analysis, preliminary technical studies.
- Produce CAD models, detailed drawings, technical specifications, supporting documents, prototypes, and bill of materials.
- Maintain technological awareness: monitor patents, perform intellectual‑property analyses, and author related documentation.
- Support testing, qualification, and project meetings; offer technical assistance to internal teams and partners.
- Optimize existing production lines and conduct productivity studies.
- Lead technical initiatives with internal stakeholders and external partners or subcontractors.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD and 3‑D modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).
- Experience drafting technical drawings and preparing BOMs.
- Knowledge of mechanical design for optical fiber or digital infrastructure systems.
- Familiarity with industrial processes, quality standards, and development procedures.
- Ability to conduct competitive analysis, feasibility studies, and product road‑mapping.
- Strong written and verbal communication for technical documentation, IP analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
- Capability to manage cross‑functional collaborations and guide technical projects.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Relevant certifications in CAD/CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks CSWA/CSEP, CATIA CSWA).
