Senior Director/Director Product Management: Hardware AI & Data Platforms & Partnerships
**Role Summary**
Lead the joint product strategy, execution, and co‑innovation between Teradata and Dell for on‑premises and hybrid hardware‑based AI and data warehouse platforms. Define roadmap, reference architectures, and validated designs to ensure optimal performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency on Dell infrastructure.
**Expectations**
- Deliver a coordinated product strategy aligning Teradata’s AI and data warehouse capabilities with Dell’s compute, storage, networking, and AI‑optimized hardware portfolio.
- Define hardware‑optimized reference architectures and turnkey deployment models for CPU/GPU‑accelerated analytics and AI workloads.
- Enable consistent deployment, upgrade, and operating experiences across on‑prem, private cloud, and edge environments.
- Partner with Dell and Teradata cross‑functional teams to ensure predictable performance, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Provide solution positioning, demos, and executive‑level technical narratives to field teams and customers.
- Apply AI expertise to identify opportunities for hardware‑accelerated AI, model inference, and analytics‑AI convergence.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Own product vision and roadmap for Teradata on Dell platforms (PowerEdge, PowerScale, PowerFlex, PowerStore, PowerVault, Dell Validated Designs, Dell AI Factory, APEX).
- Develop validated, hardware‑aware designs covering sizing, performance tuning, resiliency, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with Dell engineering and solution teams to translate hardware constraints into product requirements.
- Work with Teradata AI engineering and governance teams to meet standards for responsibility, security, transparency, and trust.
- Support Teradata and Dell sales, service, and field teams with solution positioning and technical enablement.
- Influence cross‑functional teams across engineering, alliances, sales, and customer success to achieve product goals.
**Required Skills**
- 12+ years product management experience in enterprise technology, on‑prem infrastructure platforms, data warehousing, analytics, or AI systems.
- Proven success leading hardware‑aware platform products, hybrid cloud solutions, or large‑scale on‑prem enterprise platforms.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise data warehouse architecture, performance optimization, workload management, and scalability on physical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Dell infrastructure (PowerEdge, PowerScale, PowerFlex, PowerStore, PowerVault, GPU systems, APEX, Dell AI Factory).
- Experience delivering joint OEM solutions, validated designs, or co‑engineered hardware/software offerings.
- Ability to translate hardware constraints (CPU/GPU, memory, storage tiers, networking) into clear product requirements and roadmaps.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross‑functional influence skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience acceptable).
