Job Description
**Job Title:** Radar System Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, validate, and support radar hardware and signal‑processing solutions for defense and aerospace platforms. Lead integration, simulation, testing, and customer support to achieve high‑performance, reliable radar systems. **Expectations:** Deliver engineered radar subsystems that meet stringent performance, safety, and security specifications. Train internal teams and customers and provide ongoing technical support. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead design and integration of antenna arrays, transmit/receive modules, and data‑processing pipelines. - Build and run simulation models (MATLAB, Python, C++) to predict system performance and evaluate new algorithms. - Implement and optimize DSP pipelines for target detection, tracking, and discrimination. - Conduct hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, campaign‑of‑trials, and acceptance tests for radar installations. - Produce and maintain technical documentation (requirements traceability, verification & validation reports). - Provide technical expertise, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams and external customers. - Analyze performance data, troubleshoot anomalies, and implement corrective actions. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, communications, software, safety) for system integration. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience as Radar Engineer/Systems Engineer in defense or aerospace. - Strong radar signal‑processing and DSP background; hands‑on with phased‑array/AESA architectures. - Proficiency in MATLAB or C++ for simulation, algorithm development, and data analysis. - Solid knowledge of systems engineering, requirements traceability, and verification. - Experience with on‑site integration, testing, and campaign‑of‑trials. - Ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation and validation reports. - Demonstrated problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis. - Experience delivering technical training and knowledge transfer. - Bilingual in French and English. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. - Certifications in Systems Engineering or Radar Technology preferred.
