Job Description
**Job Title** European Supply Chain Intern **Role Summary** A 12‑month paid internship within a global FMCG company’s European Supply Chain team. The role provides hands‑on experience across end‑to‑end supply chain activities including demand planning, inventory control, logistics, lean implementation, digital automation, and direct‑to‑consumer expansion. Interns will work cross‑functionally with Sales & Marketing, Finance, and external logistics partners, and gain proficiency in SAP logistics transactions. **Expectations** - Deliver analytical insights to improve forecast accuracy, especially for e‑commerce channels. - Support initiatives that enhance logistics efficiency and reduce touchpoints through digital automation. - Participate in lean projects across warehouse and desk‑based roles. - Assist in integrating newly acquired brands into the European logistics network. - Develop a deep understanding of UK, European, and D2C supply‑chain operations. - Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to internal and external stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** - Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to capture market insights and shape demand plans. - Analyze and refine forecasting models, producing regular accuracy reports. - Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods across multiple sites. - Execute stock counts and participate in inventory reconciliation visits at third‑party facilities. - Drive logistics efficiency projects using SAP, including transportation and warehouse processes. - Implement lean principles and measure impact on cost, cycle time, and quality. - Automate routine transaction processes to improve customer experience and reduce manual effort. - Support the expansion of direct‑to‑consumer fulfilment capabilities. - Integrate new brands into existing logistics networks and reporting structures. **Required Skills** - Strong numeracy and data‑interpretation abilities. - Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or equivalent) and data‑visualisation tools. - IT literacy and quick adaptation to new software (SAP logistics transactions preferred). - Excellent written and verbal communication in English. - Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and in cross‑functional teams. - Commercial awareness and an “can‑do” attitude toward continuous improvement. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current undergraduate or postgraduate student in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field; recent graduate also eligible. - Demonstrated academic performance in quantitative and analytical subjects. - SAP certification (e.g., SAP MM, SAP SD) or equivalent supply‑chain software training is desirable but not mandatory.
