Job Description
**Job Title** Area Sales Manager **Role Summary** Lead sales and profitability for a portfolio of packaging closure system customers within the DACH, Benelux, and (post‑training) UK regions. Drive growth through new business development, account management, and solution-oriented customer service while aligning with company strategy and ensuring high customer satisfaction. **Expectations** * Achieve sales and revenue targets and maintain profitability for the assigned territory. * Manage up to 50 % travel within Europe, focusing on DACH, Benelux, and the UK. * Deliver accurate, timely performance reports and manage overdue accounts. **Key Responsibilities** * Identify and develop new business opportunities and market expansion in close collaboration with global/regional sales and marketing leaders. * Define and execute customer action plans for both existing and new accounts. * Set sales objectives with business unit stakeholders and align all partners. * Negotiate contracts and close deals that balance company and customer goals. * Optimize customer portfolio and product mix to maximize profitability. * Collect and maintain relevant customer and competitive intelligence, and share insights within the organization. * Coordinate resolution of customer complaints with regional and site quality and operations teams. * Track performance by customer, region, and product line, providing precise monthly reporting. * Manage overdue balances in accordance with company targets. **Required Skills** * Proven B2B sales or key account management success, ideally in packaging or plastics (injection moulding preferred). * Experience in international sales and multicultural environments. * Strong independence, prioritization, planning, and organizational skills. * Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). * Fluent in German and English; additional language skills are an advantage. * 50 % European travel readiness, with focus on DACH, Benelux and the UK. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). * No specific certifications required.
