**Job title**
Data Scientist, Platform and B2B Products
**Role Summary**
Drive a data‑driven culture for API and B2B solutions by defining and tracking metrics, measuring impact of new models/features, and partnering with product, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams to improve model quality, reliability, latency, and cost. Build dashboards, self‑serve tools, and experimental frameworks that inform product decisions and feedback loops to research.
**Expactations**
- 5+ years of quantitative experience in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments (platforms, APIs, or B2B products preferred).
- Proven ability to design, execute, and interpret rigorous A/B tests and controlled rollouts.
- Strong cross‑functional communication with product managers, engineers, and senior leadership.
- Strategic mindset focused on business impact, not just statistical significance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Partner with Platform product team to identify opportunities for improving developer experience, reliability, and usage growth.
- Define north‑star metrics across the developer funnel (activation, retention, growth) and operational guardrails for latency, cost, and safety.
- Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests for new model versions, pricing, limits, API features, and B2B products.
- Build and maintain source‑of‑truth dashboards and self‑service data tools for cross‑functional teams.
- Translate product insights into actionable feedback for research teams (failure modes, evaluation gaps, response quality).
**Required Skills**
- Advanced SQL and Python (data manipulation, statistical analysis, experiment design).
- Experience creating and operationalizing metrics from scratch, including reliability, latency, cost, and safety indicators.
- Expertise in experimental design, A/B testing, and causal inference.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to executives.
- Familiarity with developer platforms, observability, usage‑based pricing, or quota management (preferred).
- Knowledge of NLP/large language models, agentic systems, or enterprise B2B analytics (preferred).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field (required).
- Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Data Analytics, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) optional but advantageous.
