Job Description
Job Title: BIM Manager Role Summary: Lead the integration, governance, and evolution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across all projects within the Metropolitan Office, acting as the operational BIM reference for design, execution, and operation phases. Expectations: Deliver BIM strategies that align with organizational standards; coordinate cross‑functional teams; ensure high‑quality BIM deliverables; innovate through automation and new technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee BIM management throughout project lifecycles (concept, execution, operation). - Coordinate creation of BIM models (3D, CIM) and associated deliverables (2D plans, technical documents). - Draft and maintain BIM contractual documents (BIM specifications, conventions, agreements). - Conduct regular BIM project reviews with design and client stakeholders. - Serve as the technical liaison for external contractors, ensuring compliance with BIM standards. - Perform rigorous quality control of BIM deliverables against contractual and environmental requirements. - Structure and monitor data exchange processes, ensuring reliability, traceability, and interoperability across multiple software platforms. - Gather technical team requirements and design automation workflows applicable to multiple projects. - Develop, test, and implement BIM tools, scripts, modules, and AI solutions to automate processes. Required Skills: - Proven BIM management experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction environment. - Proficiency with BIM modeling tools: Revit, ArchiCAD (for deliverable validation). - Expertise in BIM coordination and verification tools: Navisworks or equivalents. - Deep knowledge of BIM standards, exchange formats (IFC, BCF, IDS) and ISO 19650/16739 protocols. - Competence in GIS and CAD software: QGIS, AutoCAD. - Programming and automation skills: Python, Dynamo. - Ability to develop automated scripts, data extraction routines, and quality‑control systems. Required Education & Certifications: - Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent (BTP). - Official status as a territorial civil servant or successful completion of the French territorial public service competition, category A, technical field. ---
