Job Description
Job title: Data Analyst Role Summary: Analyze complex datasets to support data-driven decision making across underwriting, claims, capital management, and customer experience. Provide accurate reporting, actionable insights, and process improvement recommendations. Expectations: Deliver timely, accurate, and business‑value reports; continuously enhance reporting processes; collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, claims, and IT teams to understand and meet data needs; support regulatory reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Collect, clean, validate, and integrate large internal and external data sets. - Perform statistical analysis to support underwriting and claims decisions. - Create and maintain dashboards and reports using SAP Business Objects, Power BI, and other BI tools. - Review and refine report formats and contents with stakeholders to ensure relevance and value. - Identify and propose opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains. - Provide guidance to business users on interpreting and using management information. - Support regulatory reporting and compliance through accurate data analysis. Required Skills: - Strong data analysis and statistical techniques. - Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (SAP Business Objects, Power BI). - Excellent data cleansing, validation, and integration abilities. - Clear communication skills; ability to present complex findings simply. - Collaboration and stakeholder engagement. - Attention to detail, problem‑solving, adaptability, and continuous learning. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or related field (preferred but not mandatory). - Prior experience working with insurance or financial data, including interpretation, analysis, and reporting.
