Job Description
**Job title** Knowledge & Information Management Specialist **Role Summary** Design, implement, and maintain a modern knowledge and information management framework for a large fusion technology decommissioning programme. Capture, structure, preserve, and ensure accessibility of critical technical and organisational knowledge, supporting legacy data preservation and new project data requirements. **Expectations** - Deliver an effective information strategy that aligns with project objectives and governance standards. - Ensure compliance with data retention, information governance, and security policies. - Facilitate knowledge sharing and transfer throughout project life‑cycle. - Drive continuous improvement of information processes and reporting. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and refine knowledge and information management strategies and roadmaps. - Maintain and update digital systems for storing, organising, and sharing information. - Coordinate digitisation, archiving, classification, and long‑term preservation of documents and records. - Identify, classify, and manage key information assets for long‑term accessibility. - Ensure adherence to data retention schedules, governance, and compliance requirements. - Support knowledge sharing initiatives across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. - Provide information transfer support at project milestones and closure points. - Contribute to audits, reporting, and continuous improvement of information processes. **Required Skills** - Proven experience in knowledge, information, or records management. - Knowledge of document control, archiving, and digital information systems. - Understanding of data retention, governance, and compliance frameworks. - Strong organisational and detail‑oriented skills. - Ability to work with complex technical information and diverse user groups. - Experience supporting large programmes or technical environments. - Familiarity with digitisation or document management tools. - Effective written and verbal communication for cross‑team coordination. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Library Science, Business Administration, or a related field. - Professional certifications in information or records management (e.g., CIPM, RMM, CIRM) preferred.
