In the UK, our customers include some of the UK’s best known grocery retailers including Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Asda and Morrisons, who sell our products to consumers under their respective retailer brands.

Job Description

**Job title:** Technical Technologist **Role Summary:** Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of technical equipment and processes within a food manufacturing environment. Supports production teams to ensure operational excellence and compliance with industry safety and quality standards. **Expectations:** - Work regular weekdays (08:00‑16:00). - Perform as part of a permanent team. - Maintain high standards of equipment reliability and process efficiency. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and supporting IT/automation systems. - Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize production downtime. - Record maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and repair outcomes in company systems. - Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to implement improvements. - Assist in the procurement and testing of new equipment or upgrades. - Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest technical solutions. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, or automation maintenance. - Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and maintenance logs. - Strong problem‑solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting. - Good communication skills to report findings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. - Basic computer literacy for data entry and use of maintenance software. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Secondary or post‑secondary technical qualification (e.g., technical diploma or certificate in mechanical/electrical maintenance, industrial technology). - Relevant certifications such as MTT (Mechanical Technical Technician) or ELT (Electrical/LP) are an advantage. ---
