Job title: Cybersecurity Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain cloud‑based security solutions to protect an organization’s networks, systems, and data.
Expectations: Minimum 4+ years of cybersecurity engineering or security operations experience; strong experience with AWS cloud environments and core security technologies; proficiency in incident response and log monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deploy and manage cloud network security—AWS IAM, VPC, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection.
• Perform routine updates, patching, tuning, and optimization of security tools.
• Monitor alerts, logs, and detection systems; investigate and triage incidents per defined SLAs.
• Support incident response activities: containment, documentation, reporting, and runbook refinement.
• Ensure reliable operation of security stacks, integrating tools and enhancing performance.
• Maintain centralized logging/monitoring, tune alerts, and improve detection fidelity.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and cross‑functional teams to enforce secure configurations and best practices.
• Produce dashboards, metrics, and security awareness reports; document procedures and knowledge bases.
Required Skills:
• Cloud security architecture (AWS IAM, VPC, networking).
• Security tools: firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, SIEM/SOAR or cloud‑native monitoring.
• Alert monitoring, log analysis, basic incident response.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation abilities.
• Scripting/automation with Python or Bash (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal English, strong teamwork and communication.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certifications highly desirable: Security+, CySA+, AWS Security Specialty, GIAC.
