Job Description
**Job Title** Legal Counsel – Events **Role Summary** Provide commercially sound legal advice and contract management for high‑profile events and projects across sports, art, and entertainment. Lead legal strategy, draft and negotiate contracts, manage the contracting lifecycle, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to minimise risk while supporting revenue‑generating opportunities. **Expectations** - Fully qualified Solicitor (UK) with 4–8 years post‑qualification experience (PQE). - Proven track record drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. - Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, multi‑project environment. - Willingness to travel within London for meetings and occasional unsociable hours to meet deadlines. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Advise on commercial, data‑protection, IP, compliance, dispute and outsourcing matters. 2. Lead the contract lifecycle – drafting, review, negotiation, approval and execution for events and projects domestically and globally. 3. Liaise with internal commercial teams and international legal colleagues to apply best practice and share knowledge. 4. Advise clients and partners on favourable terms and mitigate business risk. 5. Proactively involve the Legal team early in new commercial opportunities and projects. 6. Develop and implement in‑house systems and efficiencies to streamline deal‑making. **Required Skills** - Strong commercial mindset with pragmatic solution delivery. - Excellent written and verbal communication; meticulous attention to detail. - Ability to prioritise, manage a heavy workload, and meet tight deadlines. - Team‑oriented, collaborative, and capable of building rapport with internal and external stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications** - Qualified Solicitor (UK LLB, LPC or equivalent). - 4–8 years PQE, preferably in a commercial law practice. - Training in a top‑tier law firm or commercial legal department.
