**Job Title** Price Studies Engineer – Total Construction Estimates (TCE) **Role Summary** Under the Service Manager, the engineer produces detailed cost studies for TCE projects, analyzing DCE documentation to identify risks and opportunities, allocating necessary resources, and collaborating with the Operational Technical Direction to propose optimisation solutions. The role manages external study teams and subcontractor partners, presents findings to technical and management meetings, authorises technical memorandums, and facilitates knowledge transfer to the construction team. **Expectations** Deliver accurate, optimised cost estimates and material selections that balance performance, budget, and schedule. Provide risk assessments, propose viable technical variations, and support negotiations. Communicate complex technical information clearly to stakeholders and ensure seamless hand‑over to the works team. **Key Responsibilities** - Review DCE documents, synthesise project risks and opportunities. - Define required resources (human, equipment, materials) for each job item. - Collaborate with OT Director to design solutions/variations and optimise methods, structure, fluids, thermal and environmental aspects. - Lead external study offices (measuring, fluid dynamics, etc.) and coordinate with subcontractor partners to finalize construction costs. - Present studies at closing meetings (technical and management). - Draft comprehensive Technical Memorandum. - Participate actively in negotiation meetings and support the transfer of technical information to the construction team. - Act as the primary cost estimator and designer, selecting optimal materials, equipment and technical variants. **Required Skills** - Extensive cost estimation and price study experience in general contracting. - Strong analytical skills for interpreting DCE documents. - Proficiency in risk assessment and optimisation techniques. - Knowledge of structural, fluid, thermal and environmental engineering concepts. - Project management, coordination, and leadership of external study teams. - Excellent written and verbal presentation abilities. - Negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering (equivalent to BAC+5). - Minimum 4 years’ proven experience in a similar price‑study role within a general contracting environment. ---
