Job Description
**Job Title:** Data Protection Officer – Apprenticeship **Role Summary:** Assist the Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) in maintaining compliance with data protection legislation across the organization. Serve as the main liaison for data protection matters with various departments in France and the EU, managing the processing register, responding to data subject requests, and promoting a culture of privacy awareness. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality support on GDPR and related regulatory frameworks. - Communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of data protection issues. - Promote and embed privacy best practices through training and documentation. - Identify and mitigate privacy risks through risk assessments and recommendations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain and review the processing register; update documentation as required. - Handle data subject requests received via the DPO mailbox in coordination with the Membership Relations Service. - Contribute to the creation of guidance documents and training modules for operational staff. - Conduct privacy impact assessments for new or existing data processes; advise on risk‑minimizing measures. - Monitor regulatory developments; produce regular newsletters for staff communication. **Required Skills:** - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain privacy concepts clearly. - Proactive, with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - High level of organization and meticulous attention to detail. - Curiosity and aptitude for learning technical aspects of privacy and data processing. - Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace suites. - Conversational fluency in English (written and spoken). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s level degree (or equivalent) in Data Protection Law, ICT, or a related field. - Prior internship or apprenticeship experience in data protection or privacy compliance within an international setting. - Relevant certifications (e.g., IAPP CDPO, IRIS Priv, or similar) are considered an advantage but not mandatory. ---
