Job Description
Job Title: Nuclear Control & Protection Design Engineer (F/M) Role Summary: Design, develop, configure, and validate electrical, instrumentation, and HMI architectures for safety and non‑safety control systems in a nuclear environment. Lead functional analysis, specification writing, and support test, commissioning, and operation phases. Expectations: Deliver robust, compliant control solutions aligned with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate rigorous engineering discipline, autonomous decision‑making, and clear documentation skills. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of nuclear and oil & gas control standards. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct design studies for control & protection systems in nuclear plants. - Architect and program Schneider M580 PLCs, encompassing safety and non‑safety logic. - Develop and configure automation for safety‑directed and non‑safety functions. - Draft functional analyses, technical specifications, and study folders. - Participate in technical reviews, validation sessions, and interface management. - Oversee compliance with safety, quality and applicable reference standards. - Contribute to test preparation, commissioning activities and post‑commission support. Required Skills: - Advanced proficiency in control & protection engineering (PLC programming, IHM, electrical systems). - Hands‑on experience with Schneider M580 or equivalent safety‑oriented PLCs. - Established track record in nuclear or oil & gas sector environments. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and written communication abilities. - Knowledge of nuclear safety culture and regulatory frameworks.
