Senior HR Business Partner (Retail & Clinical)
Role Summary
Deliver strategic, day‑to‑day HR partnership to Canadian retail and clinical partners, enabling store performance, governance, and talent management within a partnership model.
Expectations
- Provide full‑cycle HR service to support Partner ownership and store success.
- Design, implement, and refine HR processes, policies, and systems across Canada.
- Partner with leadership and external stakeholders to embed HR initiatives that drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with retail, clinical, and field support leaders to offer coaching, performance guidance, and accountability.
- Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Lead external vendor relationships (e.g., Inspired HR) and global HR initiatives such as Great Place to Work.
- Design, roll‑out, and integrate people systems, processes, and guidelines.
- Support health & safety programs and organizational initiatives across all stores.
- Analyze people metrics, provide insights, and recommend evidence‑based actions.
- Identify and mitigate legal and business risks in people practices.
- Drive change management, organizational effectiveness, and leadership capability through data‑driven recommendations.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of proven HR Business Partner experience, preferably in retail, clinical or franchise environments.
- Comprehensive HR knowledge: Learning & Development, Change Management, Rewards, Talent, Org Effectiveness, Employee Relations.
- Strategic thinker with ability to create practical actions in a fast‑paced retail context.
- Strong relationship‑building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with HR systems, data analysis, and commercial impact reporting.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, leading through change, and balancing competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening, and emotional intelligence.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- HR professional certification (SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SP, HRCI, or equivalent) preferred.
