Technical Account Manager – Acceldata Data Observability Cloud (ADOC)
Role Summary
Serve as a trusted technical advisor and architect for strategic enterprise accounts, aligning customer business priorities with Acceldata’s data observability solutions to drive long‑term technical success, value realization, and account expansion.
Expactations
• Own technical success and value for assigned key accounts over multi‑quarter horizons
• Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers, Product, Engineering, and Support to translate business needs into scalable, cloud‑native technical plans
• Deliver measurable business impact through architecture, adoption, and operational excellence
Key Responsibilities
• Lead high‑impact customer technical projects: reference architectures, how‑to guides, demo apps, and production‑grade MVPs
• Provide post‑sale technical leadership: architecture design, implementation guidance, and adoption support across complex environments
• Facilitate data transformation initiatives—migrations, installations, deployments—within Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and data workflows
• Enable end‑to‑end solutions focused on scalability, performance, security, and cloud‑native best practices
• Conduct on‑site deep technical engagements and maintain regular business & technical reviews
• Monitor technical health, usage adoption, and mitigate risks proactively
• Author and manage Joint Success Plans/Contracts for 3–4 quarter periods
• Capture and communicate product gaps, feature requests, and user feedback to Product and Engineering
Required Skills
• Enterprise data platform & distributed systems expertise (data and control plane architectures)
• Hands‑on with Apache Spark, Kafka, other open‑source big‑data technologies; Kubernetes & containerized workloads
• Deep knowledge of data pipelines, metadata management, observability, lineage, and governance
• Experience with data governance/quality/catalog tools (Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, etc.)
• Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments; familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake is a plus
• Strong consultative mindset; ability to translate business outcomes into technical architectures
• Executive‑level communication and stakeholder management
• Proven multi‑customer engagement management and ability to influence product roadmap
Required Education & Certifications
• 12+ years enterprise data management or data platform experience
• Prior Solution Architect role in data platform or data management company strongly preferred
• Experience with global SI or consulting firm, managing multiple customer engagements desired
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred
• Relevant certifications in data engineering/architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data, Databricks Certified Professional, etc.) are an advantage.
