Job Description
Job title Project Manager – Compliance Digital Control Systems & Automates Role Summary Lead the end‑to‑end compliant transformation of Digital Control Systems (DCS) and field automates across multiple Combined Cycle Gas Plant (CCGT) sites. Manage the pre‑study, tender selection, engineering, and execution phases to meet cybersecurity and IEC 61508/61511 requirements while addressing equipment obsolescence. Expactations - Deliver the compliance projects within scheduled shutdown windows (2028–2032). - Maintain full project control: scope, cost, schedule, and quality. - Ensure all solutions satisfy TotalEnergies’ standards and regulatory mandates. - Provide proactive risk mitigation and change‑control governance. - Act as a primary liaison among engineering firms, manufacturers, plant sites, and headquarters technical teams. Key Responsibilities - Define and author project scope and technical specifications for pre‑study and full‑engineering phases. - Select and award tendered independent engineering companies (pre‑study, detail engineering). - Lead pre‑study activities for Saint‑Avold 7 and Castejon 1, including cost estimation and architecture definition; oversee subsequent phases for additional sites as required. - Interface with plant operations, production teams, and technical headquarters to validate functional and safety requirements. - Coordinate with manufacturers (Siemens, ABB, Ansaldo, GE) to ensure integration, procurement, and compliance alignment. - Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and budget impact; report status to senior management. - Conduct benchmarking against other European CCGT operators to adopt best practices. - Support tender‑consultation and mobilization phases, providing technical expertise and guidance. Required Skills - Proven project management of large‑scale industrial automation upgrades. - Deep knowledge of DCS/PCS architecture, PLC/SCADA systems, and field automates. - Strong understanding of IEC 61508/61511 safety integrity levels and cybersecurity standards for process equipment. - Experience with procurement, tendering, and vendor management. - Excellent stakeholder communication, negotiation, and cross‑functional leadership. - Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical, cost‑effective solutions. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electrical Engineering, Automation, Process Control, or related discipline. - Professional project‑management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent). - Relevant IEC 61508/61511 or functional safety certification; cybersecurity awareness preferred. - Experience with plant shutdown schedules and maintenance planning is a plus.
