Job title: Industrial Computer Engineer (Industrial IT Engineer)
Role Summary: Engineer responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining embedded and automation software for manufacturing and cell‑culture production lines. Designs software architecture, implements industrial protocols, and creates digital tools for traceability, data quality, and production monitoring. Supports production units, troubleshoots hardware/software issues, and documents solutions for compliance.
Expectations:
- 2+ years experience in industrial IT, embedded software, or automation.
- Proven work in a demanding sector (medtech, biotech, instrumentation, robotics, pharma, aerospace, lab equipment) preferred.
- Familiarity with commissioning or development of specialized machinery.
- Experience in agile/SME or startup environments a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded control and supervision software for sensors, PLCs, robots, test benches, and HMI interfaces.
- Integrate and orchestrate equipment using standard industrial protocols (OPC‑UA, Modbus, MQTT, CANopen, RS‑485/232, industrial Ethernet).
- Define and qualify automation equipment, test benches, and automated systems.
- Build and enhance digital solutions for traceability, production dashboards, KPIs, and machine data historization.
- Ensure data integrity, log consistency, and compliance with quality standards.
- Automate repetitive processes, optimize system performance, and manage error handling.
- Provide technical support to production units, diagnose and resolve software/hardware anomalies, and implement continuous improvements.
- Produce software specifications, test plans, validation reports, and contribute to quality documentation.
Required Skills:
- Programming: Python, C/C++, C#, Node.js, SQL, automation scripting.
- Industrial protocols: OPC‑UA, Modbus, MQTT, CANopen, RS‑485/232, industrial Ethernet.
- Tools: Analytic Jena, Green Button Go, Metaxpress molecular device, MES/tracing tools.
- HMI development for test benches and operator stations.
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators, vision systems, motors, drivers, control loops.
- Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity concepts and quality norms.
- Technical English communication.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Engineering degree or Master’s in Industrial IT, Automation, Embedded Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
- Specialization in industrial software, embedded systems, or control engineering is advantageous.
