Job title: Senior Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, while collaborating with development and DevOps teams to build cloud-native platforms.
Expactations: • 7+ years of cloud engineering experience in multi‑cloud environments with a focus on AWS. • Deep expertise in IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell). • Proven ability to architect and secure cloud solutions, integrate IaC into CI/CD, and automate deployments. • Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud networking, IAM, encryption, and container orchestration. • Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins), DevSecOps practices, and cloud-native data services (Databricks, Glue, EMR, Athena, Data Lake).
Key Responsibilities: • Architect and implement AWS environments aligned with business needs and security/compliance standards. • Design and enforce robust security controls (IAM, encryption, network segmentation, vulnerability management). • Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform/CloudFormation, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. • Develop scripts in Python, Bash, PowerShell for automated, self‑healing, and auto‑scaling deployments. • Support DevOps ecosystem: CI/CD, containerization, automated security testing (DAST/SAST). • Design monitoring and alerting strategies with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.; conduct incident response and root‑cause analysis. • Collaborate cross‑functionally with developers, security engineers, and platform teams on end‑to‑end delivery and cloud strategy.
Required Skills: • AWS architecture, services, and security (IAM, encryption, VPC, security groups). • IaC proficiency: Terraform, CloudFormation. • Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell. • CI/CD: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins. • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes. • Cloud networking, routing, VPN, Direct Connect. • DevSecOps: vulnerability scanning, remediation workflows. • Monitoring: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog. • Cloud‑native data services: Databricks, Glue, EMR, Athena, Data Lake.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. • Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud certifications preferred.
