Job title: AI Engineer
Role Summary:
Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable AI and machine learning solutions. Combine ML research with production‑grade software engineering, data engineering, and MLOps practices to deliver reliable AI features.
Expectations:
- Deliver end‑to‑end ML workflows (data ingestion, training, deployment).
- Ensure high model accuracy, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Communicate with cross‑functional teams (data science, engineering, product).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize ML/AI models for business use cases.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and training workflows.
- Evaluate model performance, run experiments, and iterate to improve metrics.
- Deploy models using MLOps pipelines: CI/CD, versioning, containerisation, monitoring, and rollback.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product owners to integrate AI features into production systems.
- Document design decisions, model performance, and operational guidelines.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience building production ML systems.
- Proficiency in Python and production‑grade code patterns.
- Deep knowledge of ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn.
- Cloud platform experience: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Data engineering fundamentals: data pipelines, ETL, data warehousing.
- MLOps practices: CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, telemetry.
- Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, TensorFlow Developer, GCP Professional Data Engineer) are a plus.
