Job Description
Job title: Category Manager Role Summary: Responsible for driving category growth across the UK and EMEA on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Applies category management frameworks, shopper insights, and data‑driven storytelling to expand product range, optimize distribution, and support new product launches. Expectations: - Deliver actionable insights and growth recommendations within assigned markets. - Collaborate with sales, marketing, and retail partners to translate insights into business results. - Maintain high standards of reporting accuracy and data integrity. - Travel within the UK, France, and other EMEA markets as required. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as trusted category advisor to UK, French, and broader EMEA customers and distributors. - Analyse category, brand, and shopper performance; identify growth opportunities and risks. - Develop and present clear, compelling insights to internal teams and retail buyers. - Partner with Sales and Marketing to plan tailored new product development (NPD) launch strategies. - Maintain and update reporting tools sourcing data from IRI, Nielsen, Kantar, and other platforms. - Manage insight platforms and support shopper research activities. - Support NPD and innovation initiatives through performance analysis and trend identification. Required Skills: - 2–5 years of experience in category management, insights, or related commercial roles. - Strong analytical proficiency in Excel; solid working knowledge of PowerPoint. - Excellent written and verbal communication; adept storytelling with data. - Comfortable working cross‑functionally in fast‑paced environments. - Proven ability to influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. - Willingness to travel within the UK, France, and EMEA. Required Education & Certifications: - Degree‑qualified (or equivalent industry experience). ---
