Job Description
**Job Title**: Contracts Engineer **Role Summary**: Contract Engineer responsible for managing contract activities for Well Engineering and Projects operations. Works directly with stakeholders to produce, negotiate, and administer contractual documents, ensuring alignment with best practice and internal protocols. **Expectations**: - Independently deliver contract documentation within tight deadlines. - Maintain strict confidentiality of contract and bid information. - Provide contract advice to business development and commercial functions. - Advise on, negotiate, and review contractual terms in line with company standards and legal requirements. **Key Responsibilities**: - Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise service and subcontract contracts. - Administer contracts: ensure live documentation, manage database, monitor call‑offs, work‑orders, and purchase orders. - Coordinate with Service Line Leaders, Bid Managers, and Group Legal to align contract terms with scope and protocol. - Liaise with Tax, Insurance, Compliance, and Supply Chain to obtain input and secure back‑to‑back coverage. - Prepare contractual sections of tender approval paperwork (RRC and GRRC). - Ensure approvals of contractual positions comply with Delegation of Authority Matrix. - Resolve contractual claims, disputes, and provide ongoing support to commercial initiatives. - Promote consistent application of best‑practice contracting across regions. **Required Skills**: - Knowledge of contract terms for Asset Solutions West service lines (drilling, well management, OPEX/CAPEX, construction). - Strong contract review, drafting, and negotiation skills. - Experience in contract administration and database management. - Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence. - Self‑starter with excellent organization and ability to meet tight deadlines. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Legal, Construction, or Quantity Surveying degree (equivalent). - Previous experience in oil and gas contract management. ---
