**Job Title:** Tableau Developer
**Role Summary:**
Experienced Tableau Developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining advanced Tableau dashboards and reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders. Works cross‑functionally to gather requirements, ensure data quality, and optimize performance across large data sets.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality visual analytics on schedule.
- Maintain data integrity and performance of Tableau solutions.
- Communicate insights effectively to non‑technical audiences.
- Mentor junior team members and stay current with Tableau advancements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and support Tableau dashboards and workbooks.
- Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Optimize Tableau performance for large datasets and ensure user‑friendly UI/UX.
- Integrate Tableau with SQL databases, Excel, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, SAP, and other sources.
- Conduct data validation, quality checks, and troubleshoot workbook issues.
- Implement best practices for data visualization and storytelling.
- Provide guidance and training to junior analysts on Tableau and visualization techniques.
- Evaluate new Tableau features and industry trends to recommend improvements.
**Required Skills:**
- 6‑8 years of hands‑on Tableau Desktop experience (Tableau Prep a plus).
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Experience connecting Tableau to multiple data sources (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, SAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication for presenting insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Professional certification.
- Additional (preferred): Certifications or experience with other BI tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense), scripting languages (Python, R), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
