**Job Title:** Business Analyst – Sage Intacct
**Role Summary:**
Support a multi‑phase transformation program focused on modernizing fund accounting, reporting, and data management. Analyze and document existing Sage Intacct configurations, data models, and workflows; map data relationships; and collaborate on designing the future accounting platform, integration, and reporting architecture.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver detailed analysis of current Intacct configuration and data structures.
- Identify opportunities for automation and reconciliation improvements.
- Produce accurate process maps, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries.
- Enable data extraction, cleansing, and reconciliation during discovery and POC phases.
- Partner with technical architects and domain SMEs to define target‑state data models and migration plans.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Document chart of accounts, entities, dimensions, and reporting structures in Intacct.
2. Extract and map Intacct data models (GL transactions, sub‑ledgers, journal entries, allocations, reporting feeds).
3. Review current workflows and business rules for automation or reconciliation opportunities.
4. Understand Intacct usage across fund types (RE, Credit, FoF, parallel funds) for capital activities, valuations, reporting.
5. Support data extraction, cleansing, and reconciliation during discovery and POC.
6. Collaborate with technology teams on data exports, APIs, and future‑state integration.
7. Create process maps and data flow diagrams illustrating current‑state data journeys.
8. Validate trial balances, GL postings, and account mappings against investor schedules and PCAP reports.
9. Work with SMEs and architects to design target‑state data models and migration planning.
10. Contribute to requirements definition for data remediation and automation use cases (e.g., waterfall validation, capital account reconciliation).
**Required Skills:**
- 8–12 years in financial systems or fund accounting analysis.
- Strong understanding of Sage Intacct data structures, APIs, chart of accounts, reporting hierarchies, and journal logic.
- Experience mapping and reconciling Intacct data with other systems (Investran, Yardi, Paxus, GL extracts).
- Deep knowledge of fund accounting concepts (capital calls, distributions, management fees, unrealized gains/losses, investor‑level accounting).
- Ability to extract and analyze Intacct reports, exports, or API data for insights.
- Proficient documentation skills: process maps, data lineage, data dictionaries.
- Proven collaboration with technical and accounting teams, translating system data to business meaning.
- Excel proficiency; basic SQL or BI tools for data analysis and validation preferred.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
