SecOps Engineer – Identity Operations Tech Lead
**Role Summary**
Lead the 24/7 operations of the organization’s identity and access management (IAM) platform, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant authentication services. Drive technical excellence, incident and change management, and continuous improvement while managing and developing a high‑performing IAM operations team.
**Expectations**
- Maintain secure, uninterrupted IAM services for all enterprise users.
- Provide technical and people leadership, coaching, and career growth for the IAM operations team.
- Keep the team current on IAM technologies, security threats, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to align priorities, resources, and operational standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate and support IAM systems (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, PingID, SailPoint) 24/7, including incident, change, and problem management.
- Monitor system performance and health; conduct proactive maintenance and patching.
- Respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, and restore services promptly.
- Maintain detailed configuration, procedural, and incident documentation.
- Develop, test, and deploy automated remediation and workflow solutions.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide technical support for user issues and service requests.
- Lead audit and compliance responses related to identity services.
- Plan capacity and performance growth, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Recruit, hire, coach, and manage the IAM operations staff.
- Foster an inclusive, innovative team culture.
**Required Skills**
- Deep understanding of IAM architectures, protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM).
- Experience with identity governance and lifecycle management tools.
- Proficiency in incident response, change and problem management, and SOAR platforms.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging solutions (Splunk, ELK, Azure Monitor).
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC‑2).
- Cultural competency and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications (preferred): CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, IAM‑specific (e.g., CompTIA PenTest+, ISACA CPIM) or equivalent.
