Job Description
**Job Title:** Architectural Technician **Role Summary:** Provide advanced Revit modelling and technical documentation support for a large community centre project in the UK. Manage the RIBA Stage 4 technical packages, coordinate with the design team, and ensure accurate, up‑to‑date drawings for the café, workplace areas, nursery, and ancillary services. Work as a full‑time, 8‑month fixed‑term contractor with potential transition to permanent status. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality Revit models and drawings for a complex community scheme. - Maintain accurate, stage‑4 compliant technical packages. - Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors. - Work full‑time (5 days a week, 37.5 hours) from a central office, starting mid‑November. - Meet tight deadlines and quality standards throughout the 8‑month contract. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create, update, and manage the Revit BIM model for all design elements. - Generate detailed technical drawings, schedules, and annotations for RIBA Stage 4. - Coordinate model changes with the design team and other consultants. - Ensure model integrity and compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. - Conduct model reviews, clash detection, and quality checks. - Produce and maintain accurate documentation for construction and fit‑out. - Liaise with contractors for clarifications and model adjustments. - Participate in weekly progress meetings and provide technical updates. **Required Skills:** - Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (including families, templates, and BIM coordination). - Proven experience delivering RIBA Stage 4 technical packages or similar fit‑out projects. - Strong understanding of architectural detailing, construction documentation, and BIM workflows. - Excellent coordination and communication abilities. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables. - Attention to detail and commitment to quality. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline (preferred). - Revit certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is an advantage but not mandatory.
