Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – Orchestrade ETRM Role Summary: Analyze, design, and implement enhancements for an energy trading ETRM platform. Work directly with trading, risk, and operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional specifications, conduct gap analysis, and support the full trade lifecycle, from deal capture to settlement and P&L reporting. Expactations: - 5–7 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in trading, energy, or financial markets. - Proven hands‑on experience with Orchestrade or a comparable ETRM system (e.g., Endur, Allegro, RightAngle). - Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle, risk and P&L reporting, and front‑office processes. - Ability to produce clear Business Requirement Documents and functional specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with trading, risk, and operations users to collect and document business requirements. - Configure and extend Orchestrade functionalities and workflows to meet user needs. - Perform gap analysis between current processes and desired outcomes. - Support trade lifecycle processes including deal capture, risk assessment, P&L calculation, and settlements. - Collaborate with technical teams to produce functional specifications for enhancements. - Plan and execute UAT; validate functional changes against business needs. - Act as primary point of contact for production support and system issue resolution. - Develop functional documentation and process flow diagrams. - Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews). Required Skills: - Expertise in business analysis tools (Jira, Confluence). - Proficiency in writing Business Requirement Documents and functional specifications. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Knowledge of North American power and gas markets (ISO/RTOs: ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO) is a plus. - Familiarity with market data, pricing curves, and VaR concepts. - SQL or data analysis exposure is an advantage. - Experience in ETRM migration or upgrade projects is desirable.
