Job Description
Job title: IAM Security Engineer Role Summary: Designs, implements, and maintains scalable Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions that align with security policies, support user provisioning, and ensure compliance across the organization. Expectations: - Deliver reliable IAM architecture and services aligned with security requirements. - Manage the entire user identity lifecycle, including onboarding, role changes, and off‑boarding. - Enforce IAM security policies such as password management and multi‑factor authentication. - Conduct access reviews and maintain audit trails for regulatory compliance. - Resolve IAM incidents and collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate solutions across infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and implement IAM solutions that meet organizational security and scalability needs. 2. Support user account provisioning and deprovisioning processes. 3. Maintain access control mechanisms (authentication and authorization). 4. Manage identity lifecycle activities (onboarding, role changes, off‑boarding). 5. Enforce policies for password management, MFA, and other IAM controls. 6. Perform identity governance, access reviews, and audit trail maintenance. 7. Troubleshoot and resolve IAM‑related issues to ensure system reliability. 8. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate IAM across the technology stack. 9. Document IAM processes, configurations, and best practices for knowledge sharing and compliance. 10. Undertake additional information security support tasks as assigned. Required Skills: - Proficiency with IAM tools and technologies (identity governance platforms, directory services, MFA solutions). - Strong understanding of IAM protocols and standards (OAuth, SAML, LDAP, RBAC). - Analytical and troubleshooting aptitude. - Excellent documentation and technical writing skills. - Effective communication and collaboration in a global environment. - Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python) for IAM automation. - Familiarity with database systems and network security principles. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum 3 years of experience in IAM engineering or a related security role. - Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CIAM, or CAP are preferred.
