Job Title: Data Scientist (Travel to Ireland or France 1 day/month)
Role Summary:
Lead end‑to‑end AI/ML development, building predictive, NLP, CV, recommendation, and generative models on large datasets. Deploy models into production, monitor performance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve business problems.
Expectations:
- 1 day per month travel to Ireland or France (no visa required).
- 3 days per week onsite at Heathrow, London (contract role).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models.
- Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and model training workflows.
- Deploy models to production and monitor performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to translate business challenges into AI solutions.
- Conduct model evaluation, A/B testing, and performance tuning.
- Document models, experiments, and technical processes.
Required Skills:
- Classic ML: regression, classification, clustering, predictive analysis.
- Model optimisation and hyperparameter tuning.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, scikit‑learn).
- Hands‑on with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Experience in NLP and/or computer vision.
- Strong knowledge of ML algorithms and statistics.
- SQL/NoSQL database skills; familiarity with Spark or Hadoop.
- MLOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Skills:
- LLMs / generative AI experience (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain).
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Building AI APIs and microservices.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, TensorFlow Developer) preferred.
