Job Description
Job Title: IT Support Technician Role Summary: Deliver 1st and 2nd line technical support for internal staff, addressing hardware, software, and business system issues to maintain operational continuity. Expactations: Resolve incidents within agreed response times, document all actions, and ensure knowledge base accuracy. Maintain a high customer satisfaction score while adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs). Key Responsibilities: - Manage help desk tickets and provide timely, effective troubleshooting. - Diagnose and repair hardware (PCs, peripherals, mobile devices) and software (Windows, Office, business applications). - Escalate complex problems to senior teams and coordinate resolution efforts. - Maintain inventory records of IT assets. - Update and improve internal knowledge base and support documentation. - Conduct user training sessions as needed. - Participate in IT projects to implement new systems and upgrades. Required Skills: - Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficiency with Windows operating systems, common office software, and basic networking concepts. - Experience using help desk ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow). - Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines. - Customer‑focused service mindset. Required Education & Certifications: - Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - IT industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MCSA are advantageous.
