Job Description: **Job Title:** Senior VTC Technician **Role Summary:** Senior VTC Technician will design, deploy, configure, and maintain Voice and Video Teleconference (VTC) infrastructure across NATO environments. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex IP‑based communications, ensuring security compliance, supporting innovation projects, and providing third‑level support to operations teams. **Expectations:** - Active NATO SECRET security clearance. - Minimum 2 years post‑graduate experience in VTC/voice technology or 6 years of progressively responsible related experience. - Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaborate across military and civilian stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform service continuity improvement and fault isolation on NATO voice & VTC networks. - Design, implement, test, and maintain VTC platforms (video conferencing, team messaging, document sharing). - Deploy and configure security layers (TLS, PKI, IPSec). - Resolve QoS and network issues using SIP, H.323, PSTN protocols and IP networking best practices. - Coordinate change requests (CRQs) and authorized service interruptions (ASIs). - Generate and maintain technical documentation (configuration baselines, engineering reports, network diagrams). - Mentor/coach junior team members on voice/VTC technologies. - Provide 3rd‑level support for static and deployable VTC infrastructures, including troubleshooting and long‑term solutions. - Support out‑of‑business‑hours maintenance and infrastructure deployments. - Participate in 10% travel to NATO sites. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in voice/VTC core system configuration (Cisco, Poly, Pexip). - Experience with collaboration tools (Teams, Webex) and monitoring platforms (CA Spectrum, nGenius One, SNMPv3, Syslog). - Advanced troubleshooting of SIP, H.323, PSTN, and QoS in complex IP networks. - Knowledge of virtualization, cloud technologies, and security protocols. - Scripting experience (Python preferred) and use of regular expressions. - Strong verbal and written communication, concise documentation. - Ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline OR equivalent 6‑year experience. - Certified ITIL Foundation. - Desired: Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration (CCNP Collaboration). ---
