**Job Title**
Senior Automation QA Engineer – Playwright
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright to ensure high-quality web application releases. Drive continuous integration, broaden test coverage, and collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to deliver reliable software with minimal defects.
**Expectations**
- Lead automation strategy for functional, regression, performance, and API testing.
- Deliver scalable, reusable test scripts and maintain a robust CI/CD pipeline.
- Provide defect analysis, reporting, and retest evidence.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new automation tools and best practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, code, and refactor Playwright test scripts in JavaScript/Java/C#.
- Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Execute automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and API scenarios.
- Analyze test results, document failures, and report defects in Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Conduct load and stress tests with JMeter or LoadRunner; collaborate with security teams on automated vulnerability checks.
- Implement cross-browser testing using Selenium Grid or BrowserStack.
- Maintain test documentation, test plans, and automated test reports.
- Work with manual QA, developers, and business analysts to refine test coverage and quality gates.
- Mentor junior automation engineers and share knowledge on frameworks and tooling.
**Required Skills**
- Expertise in Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) and experience with Selenium or similar frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Proficiency with API testing tools: Postman, REST Assured.
- Experience with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools: JMeter, LoadRunner.
- Hands‑on with test management and bug tracking tools: Jira, Azure DevOps.
- Version control: Git (GitHub, GitLab).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent) are a plus.
