**Job Title**
Platform Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop and operate secure, scalable platform and infrastructure solutions across cloud and on‑premise environments for public sector clients. Serve as a technical advisor, ensuring solutions meet client objectives, operational requirements and security standards.
**Expactations**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with clients to capture platform engineering needs and business objectives.
- Own solution architecture from concept through delivery, embedding network and cyber security best practices.
- Design, build and operate internal developer platforms (IDPs) focused on reliability and developer experience.
- Use IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Bicep, etc.) to provision and manage infrastructure.
- Implement network security, identity, access controls and hybrid connectivity (VPC, security groups, NAT gateways, VPN, etc.).
- Deploy and maintain containerised workloads (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build observability with centralized logging, monitoring, alerting and dashboards.
- Work with Agile/Scrum teams, ensuring iterative delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Provide technical support during client engagements, including pitches and presentations.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years as Platform / DevOps / Cloud / Site Reliability Engineer.
- Proven experience with AWS, Azure or GCP in a consultancy or industry setting.
- Strong IaC proficiency (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Bicep).
- Expertise in Unix/Linux environments and networking concepts (VPCs, security groups, VPN, etc.).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices, observability, monitoring, and logging.
- Product‑focused mindset understanding impact on users and developers.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies in fast‑paced environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Professional certifications in major cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) preferred.
