Job title:
Integration Specialist
Role Summary:
Hands‑on integration developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud‑based serverless integrations—primarily in AWS—ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable data flows between internal systems and external platforms.
Expectations:
Deliver end‑to‑end integrations, maintain environments, troubleshoot issues, participate in agile processes, produce documentation, and uphold security and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and deploy AWS serverless integration solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Provision and version infrastructure with AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, unit/integration testing, and automated deployment workflows.
- Monitor, log, and troubleshoot asynchronous workflows to guarantee high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and developers to capture integration requirements and translate them into architecture and code.
- Maintain dependency maps, runbooks, and incident response procedures.
- Ensure integration components comply with cybersecurity frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS.
Required Skills:
- Strong programming in TypeScript (Node.js); Python experience is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Solid DevOps practices: Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and monitoring tooling.
- Understanding of event‑driven, asynchronous distributed systems.
- Agile methodology experience and proficiency with Jira (Kanban).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and incident‑resolution skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (preferred); other relevant certifications advantageous.
