Job Description
Job Title: 2026 Investment Banking Analyst Intern – Financial Sponsors Group Role Summary A junior analyst position within Guggenheim’s London Financial Sponsors Group (FSG), supporting M&A, financing, and advisory transactions for private equity clients. Interns work on live deals, build financial models, prepare client presentations, and collaborate with senior bankers, legal and accounting teams. Expectations - Demonstrate strong work ethic, initiative, and ability to learn quickly in an entrepreneurial environment. - Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality. - Communicate effectively in written and spoken form to senior bankers and clients. - Show genuine interest in the financial sponsors sector and contribute creative solutions. Key Responsibilities - Conduct company and industry research; synthesize sector trends and client challenges. - Build, update, and maintain financial models (DCF, LBO, multiples). - Prepare and present client decks, financial analyses, and transaction summaries. - Support deal execution by coordinating with lawyers, accountants, and internal teams. - Assist in due diligence, valuation calculations, and feasibility studies. - Participate in client meetings and internal team discussions. Required Skills - Strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Highly organized, proactive, with capacity to multitask and work with limited supervision. - Ability to work under pressure and meet client deadlines. - Problem‑solving orientation, intellectual curiosity, and resourcefulness. Required Education & Certifications - Current university student or recent graduate, expected to finish by December 2025. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. - No specific certifications required (e.g., CFA).
