Job Title: Release Manager
Role Summary: Lead and coordinate all release activities for the GCIP platform, ensuring timely, secure, and compliant delivery of features and enhancements across Dev, Test, and Production environments. Manage dependencies across multiple scrum teams, align with PI planning cycles, and maintain release integrity for platform components (CM, IM, MO, Event Source).
Expectations: 6‑9 years of experience, including at least 5 years in release management or technical program management. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git branching strategies, GitHub Actions, and DevOps tooling. Proven ability to coordinate releases across multiple agile teams and environments. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, risk and rollback planning skills, and a track record of driving automation and improving release metrics. Remains calm under pressure and leads incident remediation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage end‑to‑end release lifecycle for GCIP components (CM, IM, MO, Event Source).
- Collaborate with AppDev, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure readiness for each release phase (MVP1–MVP4).
- Maintain and communicate release calendar, coordinating PI planning, system demos, and iteration reviews.
- Drive branching strategy and version control practices across GCIP repositories, ensuring consistency and traceability.
- Facilitate release readiness reviews, including feature tagging, test coverage validation, and stakeholder sign‑offs.
- Track and improve release metrics, implement automation in release processes, and develop rollback plans.
- Lead incident remediation efforts and maintain release documentation.
Required Skills: Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, SVN), Functional Testing, Release Management, CI/CD pipelines, Git branching strategies, GitHub Actions, DevOps tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI), Agile release coordination, risk and rollback management, automation, metrics tracking, stakeholder communication, incident remediation.
Required Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Release Manager (CRM), or equivalent CI/CD/DevOps credentials (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer).
