Job title: Platform Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and operate secure, scalable AWS cloud platforms. Lead infrastructure engineering using Terraform, automate operations with Python, manage CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high availability and security across services.
Expectations: Minimum 7 years of cloud platform engineering experience. Proven leadership in cross‑functional teams, strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering reliable, secure cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, Load Balancer, EKS, Encryption, Secrets Manager).
- Build and maintain Terraform IaC templates for consistent, repeatable deployments.
- Develop Python scripts and tools to automate configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines, version control with Git, and enforce best practices.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve platform issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Document architecture, processes, and operational procedures.
- Mentor team members and promote continuous improvement in platform operations.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in AWS services (compute, storage, database, serverless, networking, container, security).
- Advanced Terraform proficiency (writing modules, state management).
- Strong Python programming for automation and tooling.
- Git version control, branching strategies, and CI/CD integration.
- Knowledge of cloud security, encryption key management, secrets management.
- Ability to design scalable, resilient, secure cloud architectures.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- (Optional) Experience with GenAI or ML platforms.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
