Job Description
**Job Title** Design Engineer (M/F) **Role Summary** Design Engineer will join a client’s design office to conceive, validate, and detail functional sub‑assemblies that meet specification requirements. The role covers the whole mechanical design cycle—from early concept to production‑ready drawings—and includes supervising a team of product designers and coordinating cross‑functional work groups. **Expectations** • 3–5 years in a design‑oriented engineering environment, preferably in plastics or automotive sectors. • Proven ability to take end‑to‑end design projects and deliver technical solutions. • Comfort with management tasks and fluent in English. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and validate functional sub‑assemblies in compliance with the specification brief. - Produce detailed design drawings and define mechanical part and assembly specifications, including pre‑dimensioning. - Lead and coordinate the mechanical design studies from concept through production plans and deliverables. - Generate technical solutions based on customer requirements or input from senior engineers and project managers. - Manage and supervise product designers, ensuring technical standards and project timelines are met. - Facilitate and drive work‑group sessions to align cross‑disciplinary efforts. **Required Skills** - Advanced proficiency in 3‑D CAD/CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX). - Strong mechanical design knowledge, material properties, and dimensional analysis. - Ability to translate functional requirements into detailed specifications. - Leadership and supervisory experience, with clear communication in a team environment. - Proficient in English (written and spoken). - Project management aptitude and familiarity with design deliverable preparation. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in CAD software or mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks Professional, CATIA Engineer) are a plus.
