**Job Title:** SVP, Commercial Operations
**Role Summary:** Senior leader responsible for defining and executing the transformation roadmap for global commercial operations. Aligns sales, legal, and finance functions to support commercial strategy, ensures governance and compliance, and drives continuous improvement through data‑driven automation and process simplification. Leads high‑performing contract and order management teams.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver a unified commercial‑operations strategy that accelerates lead‑to‑order and order‑to‑cash cycles.
- Ensure global contract governance, compliance, and standardization.
- Optimize order management for accurate billing, timely revenue recognition, and cash flow.
- Foster cross‑functional collaboration and adoption of new operating models.
- Build and mentor high‑performing teams, establishing clear performance metrics and reporting rhythms.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and execute commercial‑operations transformation roadmap in partnership with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Technology leaders.
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives to integrate platforms, data, and workflows across the lead‑to‑order and order‑to‑cash processes.
- Oversee global contract governance, template management, and audit compliance; drive contract standardization and reduce cycle times.
- Direct global order management operations, ensuring correct client setup, billing, renewals, and resolution of revenue blocks.
- Implement automation and simplification projects to improve order accuracy and reduce manual effort.
- Establish a rhythm of business with performance metrics, governance structures, and regular reporting for commercial operations.
- Build, develop, and retain talent within contract lifecycle management and order management teams.
- Lead the renewals transformation program, including auto‑renewal enablement and contract standardization.
**Required Skills:**
- Strategic leadership and change‑management expertise.
- Deep experience in sales operations, commercial excellence, and large‑scale transformation.
- Strong analytical and data‑analysis capabilities; proficiency with relevant software tools (e.g., ERP, CRM, BI platforms).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to design and implement process improvements that drive commercial and sales performance.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities; adept at mobilizing cross‑functional workstreams.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in a rigorous discipline (e.g., Business, Engineering, Economics).
- MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in sales operations, commercial excellence, transformation, consumer products, retail, or information services.
