Job Description
**Job Title** Commercial Manager – Industrial Pipe & Steel Fabrication **Role Summary** Commercial Manager responsible for developing, managing, and closing industrial pipe and steel fabrication projects within the Aquitaine region. Acts as the main client contact, handles cost, quality, and schedule control, and coordinates internal resources to deliver business objectives. **Expectations** - Deliver revenue growth through new and existing client development. - Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention. - Operate independently on pricing, financial planning, and contractual negotiations. - Proactively seek new business opportunities and expand market presence. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and execute sales strategies for clients in the northern department. - Prepare detailed quotations and cost estimates following site visits and tender responses. - Own project financials: pricing, profitability, budget tracking, and risk control. - Manage project delivery: scheduling, quality assurance, safety compliance, and health‑safety regulations. - Coordinate with field engineers, production, and administrative teams to allocate manpower and equipment. - Maintain supplier relationships: issue purchase orders, evaluate performance, and oversee subcontractors. - Conduct regular client meetings, provide status reports, and negotiate contract terms. - Monitor industry trends, local market dynamics, and competitor activities. - Report progress and results to the Agency Manager and senior management. **Required Skills** - Strong technical understanding of pipe fitting, steel fabrication, and related regulations. - Proven business development, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills. - Expertise in project planning, cost control, and financial analysis. - Excellent organizational ability: manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. - Team collaboration and cross‑functional coordination. - Leadership and decision‑making capacity, with initiative and analytical thinking. - Fluent in French; English proficiency desirable for broader stakeholder interactions. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (Engineer) or BTS in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial project or commercial management within pipe/steel fabrication. - Familiarity with local industry standards and regulations. - Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) preferred but not mandatory.
