Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure for a data‑driven SaaS platform. Drive CI/CD pipeline development, automates provisioning, monitors system health, and champions DevOps best practices across engineering teams.
Expactations: Deliver robust, automated solutions; ensure high availability and performance of services; collaborate cross‑functionally; lead incident response and post‑mortem processes; continuously improve infrastructure and deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) for rapid, reliable deployments.
- Automated provisioning, configuration, and management using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Salt).
- Build and maintain tools for operational automation, monitoring, and alerting.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, implement proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with software engineers to enhance scalability, availability, and security.
- Lead incident response, conduct post‑mortem analysis, and drive preventative improvements.
- Advocate DevOps best practices and continuous improvement across teams.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering; 3+ in SaaS environments.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) with relevant certifications preferred.
- Strong IaC proficiency (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Advanced automation and configuration management with Ansible, Salt, or similar.
- Hands‑on containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proficient in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash or equivalent.
- Programming experience in Java or Python.
- Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Version control expertise, especially GitHub.
- Monitoring/logging experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Networking, security, and cloud cost optimization knowledge.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Relevant certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or comparable.
