Job Description
**Job Title:** Product Support Engineer **Role Summary:** Provide technical support for field products, troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems, ensure compliance with customer specifications, and drive continuous product improvement through analysis, documentation, and training. **Expectations:** - Deliver timely solutions to sales and service teams. - Conduct root‑cause investigations and maintain accurate data. - Produce technical documentation and training materials. - Travel nationally and internationally as required. - Uphold ISO 9001 standards and maintain current technical knowledge. **Key Responsibilities:** - Troubleshoot and resolve field electrical/mechanical issues for technicians. - Respond to technical inquiries from sales offices. - Review customer specifications for tender compliance. - Perform root‑cause analysis; track product deficiency statistics. - Write and distribute technical service bulletins. - Monitor product demerit claims; collaborate with engineers and test staff on solutions. - Develop and validate test procedures for field use. - Relay field feedback to project engineering teams. - Submit engineering change requests to enhance product design. - Assist in creating and updating product manuals, datasheets, and training programs. - Support technical training for service personnel and customers. - Participate in continuous improvement activities and adhere to quality standards. **Required Skills:** - Strong written and verbal communication. - Analytical thinking and problem‑solving. - Interpersonal and teamwork abilities. - Attention to detail and hands‑on work orientation. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. - Ability to travel for field support. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred). - Relevant technical certifications or training (e.g., ISO 9001 awareness) advantageous.
