Job title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Design and implement environment solutions and unify DevOps processes for a compliance domain. Lead infrastructure capacity planning, build/deployment automation, and cross‑team collaboration across vendor and internal groups.
Expectations:
- Execute on‑site and remote tasks in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
- Deliver projects within tight deadlines, prioritising optimisation and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design infrastructure solutions with domain architects, vendors, and developers.
- Manage capacity, utilisation, and growth projections for compliance infrastructure.
- Implement build & deployment automation (TeamCity, Jenkins, Ansible, Udeploy, etc.).
- Standardise DevOps tools and processes department‑wide.
- Ensure SDLC, release, and CI/CD pipelines meet governance standards.
- Develop and maintain Selenium, JUnit, and other test automation suites.
- Coordinate with production, release, and vendor teams across multiple locations.
- Negotiate and resolve technical conflicts, maintain project documentation.
Required Skills:
- Extensive Linux/Unix/Oracle infrastructure experience.
- Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Maven/ANT, Gradle.
- Build & deployment tools: Maven, ANT, Gradle, TeamCity, Jenkins, Udeploy.
- Orchestration: Ansible, Control‑M, Udeploy.
- Configuration management: Puppet (preferred).
- Source control: Git, SVN.
- Automation testing: JUnit, Mockito, Selenium.
- Agile/Scrum practices, Jira integration.
- Strong Java knowledge (Core Java, JDK).
- Experience with RHEL, Linux, Windows servers.
- Exposure to banking compliance, investment banking, or finance industry.
- Program management tools: JAMA, JIRA, SONAR, VERCODE.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Red Hat Certified Engineer, Certified ScrumMaster) preferred but not mandatory.
