SQL/Braze Analyst, CDP & CRM Segmentation
**Role Summary**
Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining audience segmentation tables and pipelines in a data warehouse, and delivering curated traits and audiences to Braze. The role supports CRM campaign execution, ensures data quality, and aligns data strategy across Data Engineering, BI, and Product teams.
**Expectations**
- Deliver reliable, repeatable segmentation logic within specified SLOs.
- Ensure high data integrity: monitor, alert, and reconcile warehouse vs. Braze counts.
- Provide self‑serve tools for campaign teams to launch audiences without on‑call data support.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define audience and trait specifications from CRM/marketing objectives.
- Build and maintain warehouse‑first segmentation views/tables, documenting design and SLOs.
- Design change‑data‑capture pipelines to push curated traits and audience segments to Braze.
- Implement suppression logic for deliverability, compliance, and frequency caps; guardrails for safety.
- Set up monitoring, alerts, and reconciliation between warehouse and Braze to validate counts.
- Develop a library of reusable SQL snippets and views for self‑service.
- Partner with Data Engineering, CRM, BI, and Product on event, identity, and consent strategy.
- Advise on experiment targeting, lift, and attribution inputs.
**Required Skills**
- 3–6+ years of analytics or marketing data experience.
- Advanced SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
- Proven experience with CDP / reverse‑ETL patterns and Braze integration.
- Data modelling and pipeline development in a modern warehouse; dbt proficiency.
- Identity resolution and edge‑case handling for large audience building.
- Strong QA, version control, code review, and observability practices.
- Knowledge of UK/EU privacy & consent regulations (GDPR, PECR) and operationalisation of suppression rules.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., dbt Certified Developer, Snowflake, or Azure SQL) are a plus.
