Job Description
**Job title** Electronics Engineer **Role Summary** 12‑month contract electronics engineer supporting a defence and aerospace company. Responsibilities include servicing, fault‑finding, calibrating, and commissioning electrical and electronic test equipment, from special to type devices to microwave systems. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate, traceable calibrations and maintenance in line with industry standards. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff. - Manage calibration work orders and documentation, ensuring SAP integration. - Operate within environmental chamber conditions when required. **Key Responsibilities** - Service, repair, and troubleshoot test equipment to component level. - Conduct routine and special‑to‑type calibrations (DC to microwave). - Perform drift analysis and commission new test equipment. - Interpret and apply instructions, handbooks, drawings, and specifications. - Record calibration data, prepare reports, and maintain calibration traceability. - Mentor and train junior engineers on calibration procedures. - Utilize SAP for work order creation, scheduling, and reporting. - Work in environmental chambers to validate equipment performance under controlled conditions. **Required Skills** - HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. - Proven calibration and maintenance experience with test systems. - Strong understanding of calibration principles and processes. - Component‑level troubleshooting and repair skills. - Ability to read and apply technical documentation. - SAP proficiency for work order and inventory management. - Experience working in environmental chamber environments. - Leadership or mentorship experience preferred. **Required Education & Certifications** - HNC/HND Electrical & Electronics Engineering (or equivalent qualification). - Certifications in calibration (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, IEC/IEE/IEC 60025-36, or relevant national standards) preferred. - Military/defence certification or familiarity with defence/aerospace testing standards is advantageous.

Job Description
Job title: Interconnects Design Engineer Role Summary: Design and develop electrical interconnects and cable assemblies for defense and aerospace products. Lead schematic creation, product data management, and cross‑functional issue resolution using Zuken E3 and associated tools. Expections: - Deliver high‑quality electrical schematics and cable definitions that meet subsystem requirements. - Provide expert guidance to users of Zuken E3 and resolve complex cable design challenges. - Integrate and maintain best practices for electrical topology, wiring schematics, and 2D manufacturing drawings. Key Responsibilities: - Interpret subsystem and engineering requirements for interconnect design. - Generate and maintain electrical schematics and cable definitions in Zuken E3. - Provide training, support, and troubleshooting assistance to teams using Zuken E3. - Integrate the use of Zuken E3 throughout the product development lifecycle. - Investigate and resolve cable, wiring, and manufacturing issues. - Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve production problems. - Maintain product data and change control within Windchill or equivalent PDM system. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Zuken E3 (including E3.Formboard, E3.3D, and Transformer modules). - Experience designing cable assemblies with consideration of current, screening, signal integrity, voltage drop, EMC, and environmental constraints. - Knowledge of PTC CREO Cabling (or equivalent). - Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical instruction to E3 users. - Strong understanding of product data management and change control in Windchill or similar PDM tools. - Ability to define, deploy, and refine engineering processes and best practices. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in electrical design, PDM systems, or Zuken software are advantageous.
