**Job Title:** BI Engineering – Internship **Role Summary:** Support the Data, Insights & Analytics team in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise‑grade Power BI reporting solutions. Develop prototypes, troubleshoot dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate raw data into actionable insights for senior leadership and restaurant operations. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality Power BI reports and dashboards aligned with business needs. - Manage multiple projects and ad‑hoc requests efficiently. - Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical partners. - Maintain confidentiality of financial and proprietary data. - Exhibit strong analytical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast‑changing environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and support Power BI reporting solutions for leadership, field teams, and support centers. - Collaborate with other BI engineers on data model and table design to optimize self‑service analytics. - Build and present prototypes for demonstration, then transition approved solutions to production. - Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve reporting issues for peers and stakeholders. - Document technical specifications, queries, and delivery processes. - Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains. - Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and solution design sessions. - Provide training, support, and relationship management to ensure user satisfaction. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical ability to interpret raw data and generate actionable recommendations. - Proficiency in data visualization and reporting concepts. - Working knowledge of Power BI; familiarity with T‑SQL preferred. - Ability to handle concurrent projects and ad‑hoc tasks. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Team player who can take direction and act independently. - High motivation, flexibility, and professional confidentiality with financial information. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field. - No specific certifications required; coursework or experience with Power BI and SQL is advantageous.
