Job Title: Cloud Engineer 2
Role Summary
Design, deploy, and maintain large‑scale containerized workloads across global private and public cloud environments. Ensure secure, compliant, and cost‑efficient solutions while supporting development teams and resolving operational incidents.
Expectations
* Deliver secure, SOC2/ISO27001/PCI/HIPAA‑compliant cloud solutions.
* Collaborate with dev, ops, and vendor teams in an agile framework.
* Maintain high availability, performance, and observability.
* Participate in on‑call rotation and provide clear incident documentation.
* Create and update technical documentation, training materials, and best‑practice guides.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect and implement Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, upgrades, security, networking, and storage.
* Integrate monitoring, alerting, and cost reporting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and similar tools.
* Support software teams with container onboarding, tooling, and best practices.
* Manage CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for infrastructure and application deployments.
* Troubleshoot and resolve system outages or performance degradations; communicate findings for continuous improvement.
* Evaluate and recommend third‑party solutions to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
* Document design decisions, compliance references, and operational procedures.
* Participate in on‑call rotation and escalated issue handling.
Required Skills
* 2+ years managing public cloud environments (AWS, Azure preferred).
* 3+ years Linux OS deployment, automation, and large‑scale management.
* 3+ years software engineering experience (Python, Go preferred).
* Hands‑on Kubernetes operations: deployment, upgrades, security, networking, storage, observability.
* Proficient with Git, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Familiarity with observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
* Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance regulations.
* Exposure to AI/ML monitoring or predictive analytics tools.
* Experience with hybrid cloud architectures (public, private, VMware).
* Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and continuous learning mindset.
* Ability to document and train stakeholders on technical processes.
Required Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) preferred.
